Our latest research offers a state of the nation insight into the mental and financial wellbeing of people across the UK. The results paint a troubling picture, with millions of people behind on payments, struggling with their mental health and in need of support. Health and social care services are in a unique position to offer support to people experiencing mental health problems and financial difficulty – but what support are people receiving right now, and what does best practice look like?

In this event, we will look in more detail at the relevant findings from our new research for health and social care providers. We will cover a variety of issues including people with mental health problems’ experiences of disclosing financial difficulty, and the support they receive from health and social care professionals in primary and secondary care. With insight from our research team, a lived experience speaker and the chance to ask your questions about the research – this event will provide a key snapshot of the support health and social care services are providing for people experiencing mental health and financial difficulties, and where improvements can be made.
