Money and Mental Health’s submission to the FCA’s consultation on a new Consumer Duty CP21/36

Money and Mental Health has responded to the second consultation by the Financial Conduct Authority on its new Consumer Duty, which seeks to ensure a higher standard of consumer protection for users of financial services. We support the FCA’s plans, and believe it could be transformative for people with mental health problems. However, our response sets out where the FCA’s plans could go further to protect people with mental health problems, such as ensuring the Duty emphasises and maintains the importance of the new vulnerability guidance.
