Our evidence highlights the devastating links between mental health crisis and financial difficulties. Reform of the Mental Health Act provides a once in a generation opportunity to ensure that people’s choice and preferences around their financial circumstances are integrated into Advanced Choice Documents and Care and Treatment Plans when admitted to hospital for mental health problems.
