Patrick Nash is a social entrepreneur, having set up 12 companies, charities and social enterprises. These have ranged from supplying vegetarian food to renewable energy and from education to mental health.
His last company, Connect Assist, supports people in challenging circumstances (mental health, debt, unemployment and more) via phone, email, webchat and social media. Customers include The Royal British Legion, Mind, and the Princes Trust. It was established in the Welsh Valleys during the last recession to create jobs and growth opportunities for people living there.
He provides commercial advice and leadership coaching to directors of charities, SMEs, social enterprises and impact investors through his latest venture Enterprise Values. Patrick was winner of the IoD Director of the Year 2017 for Leadership in Corporate Responsibility.
Following a challenging period in his life 25 years ago, Patrick has been in therapy for his mental health ever since. He has been a member of a men’s therapy group for twenty years and values the role that this plays in his life.
