How regulators can support consumers with mental health problems

Mental health problems can dramatically affect our financial capability, making it harder to navigate consumer markets. However, the way that products and services are designed, and that essential service markets are organised, can often exacerbate these difficulties.
In this report we describe the specific challenges facing regulators of essential services as they attempt to support consumers in vulnerable circumstances, before expanding on the particular issues that must be addressed to support consumers experiencing mental health problems.
