Submission to the Lending Standards Board’s Access to Banking Standard Review Consultation

Money and Mental Health recognises that the Access to Banking Standard is an important industry agreement that helps improve outcomes for customers once the decision to close a branch has been made. However, in this response we highlight some of its limitations; it does not deal with the decision making process and it is also not clear to what extent the Lending Standards Board is able to ensure that banks adhere to the Standard.
