Gareth Roy

Gareth is a charity lawyer and partner in Wilsons LLP’s charity team. He provides strategic, pragmatic advice on a broad range of governance and commercial matters to charities and not-for-profit organisations.

Matters he advises on include the establishment and registration of new charities, incorporations and restructuring, mergers and collaborations, commercial contracts, fundraising arrangements, trading subsidiaries, and regulatory engagement with the Charity Commission. He has acted for a wide range of organisations, from large, household-name charities to small, community-based groups and tailors his approach to reflect each client’s objectives, scale and risk profile.
