Money and Mental Health’s submission to HM Treasury’s Statutory Debt Repayment Plan Consultation

Money and Mental Health set out how the Mental Health Crisis Breathing Space regulations are sufficient to ensure maximum eligibility for people with mental health problems who are in crisis treatment. Yet, how the scheme is administered limits the application of the mechanism and has contributed to low rates of applications. Here, we set out recommendations for how the scheme could be amended to ensure it reaches as many people in crisis as possible.
