Our submission to the Public Accounts Committee’s inquiry into the regulation of water, energy and broadband services. In this consultation response, we highlight how differing regulatory approaches can lead to inconsistent experiences for consumers with mental health problems across essential services. We call for stronger and more consistent protections for customers in vulnerable circumstances, improved support for people in financial difficulty, and greater cross-sector collaboration to make it easier for consumers to access the help they need.
