Financial exclusion select committee

Up to 40% of the population say that they don’t feel in control of their finances, according to a new House of Lords Select Committee on Financial Exclusion. As our research shows, people with mental health problems often face specific difficulties in managing their money and barriers to accessing financial services that would help.

Money and Mental Health submitted evidence to the Committee, setting out some these barriers, and encouraging the financial services industry and policy makers to work together to make improvements.
