Mental health patients ‘paying up to £150 for doctor’s notes

People with mental health issues should not have to pay for doctor’s notes, according to a new campaign backed by a Plymouth MP.

An investigation by the Money and Mental Health Policy Institute shows one in three people who ask for a ‘debt and mental health evidence form’, to prove their condition to their creditors, are being charged up to £150.
