Thousands of suicides linked to financial pressure

Watch Channel 4 News’ coverage of the launch of our new Stop the #DebtThreats campaign, which calls for an end to intimidating letters from creditors. This features our Director Helen Undy. It also include interviews with Steve Goddard, who experienced thoughts of suicide following a period of financial difficulty, and Tracey Rogers, whose son Jerome took his own life after being pursued by debt collectors.

Suicide is not inevitable, it is preventable. Financial problems can always be resolved. If you or someone you know is struggling with suicidal feelings, financial difficulties or mental health problems there is advice and support out there.
